Avgas

Avgas (meaning Aviation Gas) is a high-octane fuel used for aircraft and racing cars. The avgas title helps to distinguish the fuel between mogas (motor car gas (used in the typical automobile)). Some aircraft are certified to operate on both mogas and avgas but most small aircraft operate on avgas due to its higher lead Aviation Fuel Truckcontent.

E6B

The E6B (also known as the “whiz wheel”) is a portable flight computer. It is in the form of circular slide rule. They are mostly used in flight training, but some professional pilots will still carry and use theirs.

F.A.R.

The FAR (or specifically known as the Federal Aviation Regulation) are rules published by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) governing all aviation activities in the United States. Their main purpose is to protect our nations airspace. However, in my opinion, some of them, go a little too far. The FARs are part of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). These laws cover all topic from aircraft incident investigation to laws pertaining to flight schools.
