Canceled

Well, today was canceled due to weather. Johnny called my this morning explaining that because I don’t get to fly very often, it would be sort of a waste of my money. So I called the airport and we rescheduled for Thursday, May 1, from 1600 to 1900. I’m kinda of disappointed that I didn’t get to fly, but I’m glad he called it so I wouldn’t be wasting any money. Now there are 17,515 long, flightless minutes untill my next lesson. Thanks for reading.

Thank you AOPA

I would really like to thank AOPA and especially Mike Collins. I had got my April edition of AOPA’s Flight Training magazine. When I came across something interesting. There, sitting on page 8, was an article on aviation blogs. Sitting in the right column was a small article about TheFlyingToga.com!!! It was really cool to see that in there. It was such a surprise considering that I had no prior notice that something was written about my blog. There were a few other blogs mentioned, including MyFlightBlog.com. I have been there a few times and love it. Todd is a very talented blogger. There is a link to the article below that was scanned by Todd. Thank you Todd, Mike Collins, and you for reading!!!

Countdown

I just finished putting a new, cool little thing on the sidebar.  Right above the search box will now be a countdown module.  It will normally countdown to my next lesson, but I might countdown to other things too.  Now both you and I can know how many more minutes I will have to suffer before I am able to fly.  Haha.  Thanks for reading!

One Six Left

I watched One Six Left the other day and was very satisfied with it. This documentary mixes in some additional flying footage with commentary from Brian Terwilliger who produced the movie. Continue reading ‘One Six Left’

Listen to live ATC

Found a really cool website. Liveatc.net is a large link database that holds links to audio feeds from a multitude of Airports around the world. Below is a link to the audio feed for Chicago’s O’ Hare Airport [KORD]. Enjoy and thanks for reading!!!
