I just called the Lockheed FSS for the first time ever for an outlook briefing for tomorrows flight. The man helping me was actually quite helpful. He got me a few forecasts for the Northern Illinois area and explained them quite well. Based on the forecast he gave me, tomorrow will probably be called off. The forecast calls for winds at 13 knots gusting to 26 knots, rain clouds at 4,000 feet, and rain showers in the vicinity of the airport; definitely not good conditions for a student pilot. However, he did also say that the prediction ended at noon tomorrow so there is still a chance! Let’s pray and hope for a nice day tomorrow. Thanks for reading!!!

What have you been doing for weather updates to this point? Just using online sources? I always like to call FSS right before my flight for a last second update and check of NOTAMs and TFRs as well.
